What is PASCAL Delivers?
PASCAL Delivers is a rapid book delivery service available to patrons at participating South Carolina Academic Libraries. This exciting service allows patrons to search the catalogs of other academic libraries across the state from Pascalcat the statewide union catalog, and have them delivered at your local institution within a few business days.
Who can borrow books using PASCAL Delivers?
All current students, faculty, and staff at PASCAL member libraries have access to PASCAL Delivers. Patrons must be in good standing at their home library, with no overdue items or fines in order to use the library. Note: PASCAL is not available to the public at this time.
How many books can I order?
PASCAL Delivers users are allowed to submit up to 50 requests. Requests are defined as books at any stage in the system. Outstanding requests that await a reply from a library are requests. Books you've returned to your library that are still enroute to the owning library are requests. Books you have in your possession are requests.
How long can you keep PASCAL Delivers books?
The check-out period is 6 weeks with one 6 week renewal.
Can I use PASCAL Delivers to get articles, videos, or items other than books?
NO, not at this time. PASCAL Delivers is only for books. We hope to be able to expand the service to include other articles in the future, as technology matures and funding permits.
Is there a fee for late or lost books?
The lending institution may impose fines and/or replacement charges. If you are late returning an item, return the item damaged, or do not return the item, you will be responsible for these charges.
How long will it take to get PASCAL books?
Delivery time is normally within a few business days. Material is delivered Monday thru Friday, (Except on holidays)
