Everything you need to know to make your library experience as easy as possible.

In order to borrow materials from the Library, students must have a valid NETC Library card.  The card must be present to checkout items.  Public (community) borrowers must show a valid picture ID to checkout .   By borrowing with this card you are responsible for the materials including their care and timely return.

Lost/Damaged Items

If an item is lost or returned damaged, the patron is responsible for replacing it.  Any item over 30 Days overdue is declared lost and the borrower will be billed for its replacement with an additional $10 processing fee.  An item returned damage is considered lost and subject to the cost of the item and processing fee.  Non-payment of lost or damaged items will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges and in the case of students, holds will be placed on their accounts that affect registration and transcript requests.

Overdue Items/Fines

Fines for overdue materials accrue a 25 cent fine the following date the material is due. For items returned late, the fine is based on the number of days the item(s) are overdue.  Non-payment of overdue items will result in the suspension of borrowing privileges and in the case of students, holds will be placed on their accounts that affect registration and transcript requests.

Overdue Fines and Notices

Patrons can receive up to three notices for overdue items and fines.  The notices can be sent by mail or via email if the patron has a valid email address on file.
